Pinching Pennies
The Post reports that the Rangers missed out on Mike Grier because of... budgetary constraints?! Who'da thunkit? In today's Times, Mike Wise beats the drum for Messier, calling the captain an 'heirloom.' God, I hope he's wrong - when I hear that word, I think old and fragile... The Daily News hypes up Holik and Kaspar's home debut tonight. As Rocha mentioned earlier, Bure's out of the lineup - sidelined by Streptococcus. Anybody got penicillin? Rodent says that speed kills... the careers of guys who can't keep up. As of this writing, Newsday's server appears to be down. They must be mourning the Isles' loss upstate last night. The Devils won on two goals from John Madden, and Clootch got the goose-egg in Calgary. The Eagle laid an egg (in a good way) last night as well against the Penguins. Geese? Eagles? Penguins? It's like a freakin' aviary in here! What's with this site and BIRDS?! Oh... never mind... -Chris eMail this entry! Comments
