If one believes the stories out of the "rumor" department then the NY Rangers have put the finishing touches on a team with one goal in mind, the Stanley Cup finals. A few days ago, the Rodent suggested a deal including Petr Nedved for Keith Tkachuk of the St Louis Blues. Now it just may be happening. Combine that with the rumored Amonte signing and this off-season could be the best in Ranger history. I know, we lead the league in great off-seasons......but this time it's different. The whole feeling about the team has changed.
The NY Times always releases their articles early....but Jason does mention both Amonte and a possible Nedved deal. Interesting eh ? Thanks to kr0nickboy for reminding us about the Times.
Jim Kelly speaks on the Rangers and the Wings spending money. Brian wrote what is now my stock answer to anyone who brings this up.

A seven player deal ? Yup ! The Devils and the Ducks exchange a slew of players.
