The Devils on the ice and Holik in a Ranger's jersey. I just can't comprehend this. I saw it but there was a breakdown between my eyes and my brain. Will I ever see Holik as anything *but* a Devil? I know it's been several months, but I have hated this guy for SO LONG!I try to like him, but I am not sure if it is possible, and if it is, how long it is going to take. Same with Trottier. It hasn't been long enough ago for me to forget who he was and where he came from. I had to live through the late 70's and early 80's hating this guy and Potvin and Bossy and Gillies and Billy Smith, and the rest of those a-holes. Oh the CONTEMPT! The Devils were still the Rockies I guess and when they finally arrived with their Christmas tree uniforms, they were hardly a threat! Now I don't know what to do~! I am supposed to cheer for these guys that I hated for so long? It's just wrong on so many levels! Maybe Trottier will get fired before I have to worry about liking him. Maybe Holik will get traded BACK to the Devils where he REALLY belongs? Maybe I will wake up in time to cook Christmas dinner???
On the bright side, my boy Mike Dunham has really been a solid Goalie! What a killer glove hand! Gotta love that kick save he made early in the game, too. Well, at least the Rangers didn't get their butts handed to them. Great, fun, exciting game!
