Hey gang....I figured I'd pop in to let you know that we have had a nice chat with Stan McCammon of Orca Bay Sports and Entertainment, the company that owns the Vancouver Canucks and the GM Place (or, the Rink as it's known there).
As most of you know by now, I have selected the Canucks as the team I'll be following in the chase for the Cup provided the Rangers don't get in. As it stands now.....well, let's agree that it doesn't look good. So, how does a team build to become a winner ? "As to our team, we made a commitment to get materially younger and to develop players, rather than trying to acquire a competitive team through free agency. Brian Burke and his staff have done a terrific job of getting younger, while at the same time getting better, and they deserve a lot of credit."
Hmmmm, sounds like a solid plan. Anybody around here think the Rangers should have done that when Slats came on board ?
