Our Thoughts and Prayers to the families of those aboard Columbia

half mast
I have found over the last few days that there are things more important than hockey or websites.....today, the news of the space shuttle breaking apart during re-entry is a perfect example of that.

I think I can speak for the rest of us here at Hockeybird in saying that we send our thoughts and prayers out to the families of those aboard Columbia.

In many different ways, this is one of the saddest days of my life. May God help us.

This is a very sad time indeed. Not just for Americans but for the entire world. India and Israel lost national heroes as did the United States. Really puts real life into perspective.
God bless all.

Bird,

Space exploration must go on as must we, but let us never forget the sacrifice of all those who have given their lives in this cause. Giving your life for the betterment of mankind is the most worthy sacrifice. It puts the futility of war and aggression into perspective.

Let's hope this gives those who do prefer aggression pause, including the current administration.

May They Rest in Peace.
