We Will Tie !
Wednesday - February 26, 2003
Well who the hell guarantees a frikkin tie ? At least it was a great game to watch, no ? I give the Rangers credit for coming back, credit for killing off some huge penalty kills and for not losing. Sure, we needed both points but thems the breaks. Check out today's Rodent......he's got pictures and everything. Newsday - "A great point," Sather said. "Would've loved to have had two, but we worked hard to come back." Daily News - "We can certainly make a run at this," Eric Lindros said. "I don't think there was ever a doubt. I personally believe we can do it." Post - "I felt I did have energy that wasn't there last week, but I didn't want to go running around. What sense is that?" No. 27 said. "It's not playing in New Jersey that makes a difference for me. I just want to try and play my game." Times - Holik was still upset after the game that a penalty had not been called near the end of regulation on one of his former teammates and oldest friends, Devils defenseman Ken Daneyko, who flattened him with a cross-check. It was Daneyko's way of saying welcome back. Journal News - "I was surprised how synchronized the people were,'' said Holik, whose own teammates booed him during the morning skate to help prepare him for the reception. "It's getting to be old news. Everybody has moved on other than the fans.'' ----}- Posted by Bird at February 26, 2003 11:18 AMeMail this entry! Comments
