Pressed For Time
Friday - February 28, 2003

Here are your local reports:

NY Post: "We know how important it is for us to win in our own building," said Kovalev, who has five goals in nine games as a Ranger. "If we can win the rest of these, we should be fine."

Daily News: "Overall, it was a good win," Mark Messier said after the 4-1 triumph that was keyed by his shorthanded goal. "Now, we've got to look forward to the next 'Biggest Game of the Year.'"

Newsday: No quotes, but I'll say this - Arthur Staple writes some damn thorough game recaps. Makes me feel like I actually saw the game last night.

NY Times: Nedved's suggestions to boost scoring? Bigger nets, smaller goaltender gear.

Also in Newsday, here's a rather telling quote: As for the actual coaching side of things, Sather has not found that much new after the decade in which he was solely a GM. "It's no different than when I left," he said. Hmmm...

Sorry I've had to be so brief lately. Things should be calming down soon.

did anyone else pick up JD refering to Messier's hands as "Sweet and Juicy"????

I have heard a lot of things described as Sweet and Juicy, but hands have never been one of them...

I missed that.....and I'm glad. That's well, kinda disturbing.

He said it again twice last night about Pavel Bure & I think it was Leetch or Kovy. I was very disturbed when I heard that. YECH! :p
