The Florida Panthers visit MSG tonight.....former Rangers coach Mike Keenan has been rumored to be a candidate for the Rangers coaching job next year even though he's under contract with the Cats.....sound familiar ? If I thought we'd win a cup, I'd do it......but I still think of Keenan as a rat.

It makes you wonder though! If 10% of the total population is supposedly gay, what percentage of that is represented in the NHL?
And, if you recall, earlier in the season I said I felt sorry for guys watching The Rangers loose all the time. At least women hockey fans could check out the players "other" assests if their on ice skills sucked. What percentage of guys watching Hockey are checking out the players "other" assests, too.
Bird, what if your favorite player turned out to be gay? Would you behave like Archie when he found out about Kelsey?
Did you ever wonder how the Potvin Sucks chant got started? I wonder if he really did,does and who? I recall the "Beat your wife Potvin" chant. Oops, now I'm really giving away mt age.

Point two: The Potvin Sucks chant was started after Denis hit Hedberg. Fans blamed the resulting broken ankle on him. It's stupid and I wish it would stop. Potvin does NOT suck. Well, not as a hockey player.

You have a very enlightened view regarding alternate lifestyles. Very refreshing! My comments were in jest about Mr Potvin, although as a sports commentator he makes JD seem like Edward R Murrow.
I thought it was the hit by Potvin on Ulf Nielson that broke Ulfie's leg and that started the famous chant. Guess I'm wrong.
I totally agree that after 20+ years the chant should stop but the crowd has that Lord of the Flys mentality.
