Hockeybird.com: War

Let me begin tonight by saying that I fully support the brave men and women who serve in uniform for the USA. All hell is gonna break loose and I just hope you guys stay safe. We here at Hockeybird can't afford to lose any readers.....good luck. That goes for the rest of you who are joining us too. For those that aren't.....well, that talk is for another website.

A 1-0 win over the New York Islanders.......well, well, well. We cheat death one more day eh ? That was one hell of a game. Brian Leetch scored the only goal of the game by willing the puck to go in. You heard me.....he scored by sheer will. I think he may be Vulcan.

4th line ? Bah......they were great tonight. Donato, McCarthy and LaCouture did all the little things right and hustled their collective asses off. Great effort and nice to see that Slats noticed and got 'em on the ice often.

The goaltending tonight was a treat for an ex-goaler as myself. I was going to say a few nice things about Garth Snow....but then he had to go a kick at Lindros. That's a crap play. I enjoy a keeper who likes to mix it up.....but a skate can do some serious damage.......Snow should know better.

Check out and see what the Rodents got cooking......and pop onto the boards for some old fasioned hockey talk.....whatever the hell that is.

All I have to say is Go rabh mile mah agat(Irish for a thousand thanks), Rangers and Happy St Patrick's Day!

C'mon bird! We live in a democray. Don't bowdlerize any comments. This guy did't use any invectives. If he is against the war that's fine with me. Besides he had some pretty good arguments. Let's abolish censorship on your side! C'mon Bird we don't live in Iraq. I always thought that we would live in a land of freedom but maybe I was wrong.
