Radek Dvorak scored one of the great highlight goals of these playoffs so far and gave his Edmonton Oilers a lead in that series, 2 games to 1 as the Oil staged a third period comeback with all three of their goals coming in the final stanza.

The Devs beat the Bruins for a 3-0 series lead. Broduer and Co. look poised to advance this time, unlike last years first round loss to the 'Canes.

The big game of the day took place in Astoria, Queens....here in NY as Hockeybird readers gathered for the first ever Official Hockeybird Roller Hockey game. Thanks go out to Melvin and Alitaki, Hockeybird messageboard regulars who put this together and did a great job. I have some images of the event and hope to create a page to display them all. While I put on the pads for a bit it was clear to all that roller hockey is NOT my game.......but I do admit that it was a lot of fun. Thanks to all of you who showed up and I hope the Jersey game that is being talked about happens.....if you live in the area you should make it a point to show up, even if you don't play. Meeting everyone and having a beer is worth it.

We really need to do a Hockeybird game on ice......now THAT would be fun.

i used to play in a roller league at dutch kills, then my team went indoor roller and we ended up being 2th overall in the nation in the 14-17 age group. that was about 3 or 4 years ago....ahhh the good old days

I could not BELIEVE the goal Dvo scored. I saw him deke and fake out like 3 players and rip it past Turco and my jaw just about hit the ground. After what I was used to from him this season w/us, I was in complete denial that it even happened till I kept seeing replay after replay!
