The guy forces you to hate him....assuming you are not a Devils fan. But one has to admit that the guy is one tough hockey player. And he's pretty good eh ? Back after getting 15 stitches in his ear.....a bit painful, Mr. Stevens logged more ice time than anyone else and scored a goal, giving the Devils a 3-1 win and a 3-1 series lead. Trust me, the last thing I wanted to do today was heap praise on Scott Stevens.....but you have to admit, he's one tough bastard.
Dallas does not seem like the right place for a Stanley Cup parade. The Ducks must agree. With time running down in the third and a 0-0 tie, former Devil Jason Arnott cross-checked a Duck right in front of the ref.....I'm sure he was thinking it would never get called. It did.....and the Ducks converted giving them a 1-0 win and a 3-1 series lead. I had predicted that the Rangers would be playing in the Eastern Conference finals......now it looks like the Ducks could be playing for the Western Conference championship.....it's a cruel world.
ESPN's Page Two lists the top ten OTs in NHL history. How you can not include the Matteau goal in game 7 in triple overtime vs. the Devs in 94 in the conference finals.....I have no idea.
The Flyers are at home for tonight's game.....but they might as well be on the road as they are holed up in a hotel. "What is he saying? No sex, please, we're skittish?"
