Roy Update
Tuesday - May 27, 2003

It's been confirmed....Mr. Patrick Roy will call it quits. While I'm surprised by this it does kind of make sense. I mean, what does he have to prove and to who ?

Thanks to Kevin for sending this in.

Also it was pointed out to me that the Times had this tidbit buried in a Devils article....." The former Devils coach LARRY ROBINSON, who serves as a special assignment coach, says he intends to speak with Rangers General Manager GLEN SATHER after the Cup finals about becoming the Rangers' next coach. "If I wasn't interested, I wouldn't be talking to them," Robinson said"

I'm not sure what to make of this. I'd swear this guy said that the Rangers would look foolish when he turned us down again. I'm not even convinced he's the right guy for the job.....I'm not sure Norman Schwarzkopf would be the right guy. But this does serve as a reminder that a new head coach should be named relatively soon.

Read the latest from John Buccigross.....because you can and because he's gonna school you on why this years finals will be great. I happen to agree with him that it's fine for teams in small markets to make it.....if you win four games, you advance.....it doesn't matter where you are from or how you win.
