I'm not going to bore you with my take on this game.....the Devils won 3-0 giving Marty his first shutout in the finals. The Ducks never really got going as I thought they would and frankly, didn't look like they belong in the finals.
I'm sure there are a zillion links about the game....go find 'em if you need 'em.

Non-hockey stuff.....
OK, I have mentioned how I love the Lynyrd Skynyrd band many times here on Hockeybird. Through all the tragedies and troubles these guys have been through I have remained a fan.....as a lot of other people have done. Well yesterday I picked up their new CD. I'm still spending time with it and it is growing on me.....I can however tell you that the remake of "Gimme Back My Bullets" with Kid Rock is worth the ten bucks I spent on it. Somehow it serves as a reminder that as a band, they really miss the song writing skills of Ronnie Van Zant and Allen Collins.
In case you are not aware, the new line up has been in place for a few years now and has become a much tighter band than when they first got together. Hughie Thomasson of the Outlaws and Ricky Medlocke of Blackfoot join Gary Rossington as the three guitars that Skynyrd has always featured. Ean Evens has replaced Leon who passed away recently. My buddy Artimus Pyle left the band in 1991 but can still be seen around the Jacksonville area playing with his APB band.
Perhaps one day we'll do an interview with some of the guys and post it in the Birdcage....for now, if you have an extra ten spot and you like the band, pick up the latest.....just for old time sakes.
