We almost never link to sites that offer up trade rumors as their content. We do however link to media outlets such as the NY Post that employ writers such as Larry Brooks who offer rumors as part of their content. Larry's recent article suggested that Mario could be coming to NY....a day later Mario himself denies the claim. So I dislike the whole rumor thing on a whole.....it ruins credibility.
With all of that said, I'm about to offer up a rumor of my own. In classic Larry Brooks style, from a source un-named, we hear that Glen Sather and Scotty Bowman have talked, that Scotty is interested but his wife is very resistant.
Keep in mind, I offer this only as a rumor. Eat your heart out Mr. Brooks. If this becomes true....I scooped you ! If it's false.....hey, it was only a rumor, right ?
The Islanders were the big subject on sportstalk radio yesterday and for those of you who missed it, or live outside of the WFAM listening area....here's a link to an interveiw with mad Mike himself. It's in real audio. The Mad dog goes nuts on Mike asking why he still has a job. It's very funny although not the kinda stuff that the Milbury household was hoping for. Chris Russo is not a hockey guy and can be kinda nasty when he gets riled up.
