Recreation of Jail Badge

roy

What seems like 50 years ago....but not really, it was on this day in 1994 that we celebrated like nuts. I still have very clear memories surrounding this day. I'm hoping to have some new memories before the old ones fade away. Still, no one can ever take that away from us.....1994 Stanley Cup Champs. Today we have a guest writer in the Birdcage to describe what it was like to watch the 1994 finals.....from Vancouver. A different perspective on the best time I've had as a Ranger fan.

Mark Messier will alway be remembered for taking us there, Leetch for "that goal".....Mike Richter for "the save" on Bure in game 4. The "Now I can die in peace" sign......all of it.

In a related note, several Devils fans will celebrate their cup in the parking lot in the swamps today, in the rain.....with or without Joe Piscapo.

Can you feel that sensation ? I told you.....it's the off season, no hockey. I watched basketball last night.....Arg !

Monday, Glen Sather will meet with Brian Leetch about resigning the All-Star defenseman. He will also meet with Larry Robinson later in the week according to Newsday.

Stan Fischler has some Ranger items in his column. He still insists that Bowman is interested despite the denials.

Scott Stevens popped Tom Green on TV last night. Can't believe I missed that.

Faceoff.com - Faceoff.com's hockey coverage is moving to canada.com beginning Tuesday June 17.

Hasek is still paying for his attack on a player in an inline game. he was already suspended from the league for a year, now he faces criminal charges.

Patrick Roy had some legal issues a while back.....that stuff will always haunt you.
