I've been busy ignoring Larry Brooks. Today he suggests that Slats may not have a coach in place before the draft which could mean he'll coach himself. It could also mean that he likes head cheese.
Here's a notes & quotes kinda thing with a Messier piece. "Messier, 42, is under contract for 2003-2004 for $3.9 million US -- the same amount he earned last season." That's a lot of cheese.

Don, a reader of the site sent in this link which I lost...but since found. It's Yogi Berra writing about hockey for the NY Times. Man, I knew the Times was having issues......but Yogi on hockey ??? Sad part is....he makes perfect sense.
