A Young Life Lost
Tuesday - July 08, 2003

I am reading speculation surrounding the pasing of Roman Lyashenko. The 24 yr old had a long full life ahead of him and the potential of becoming an everyday player in the NHL. Noted as a good two way player, Roman was described as a bit shy by Heather who had the chance to meet him and take a picture together with him.

Newsday - An official cause of death has not been determined, but a Turkish news agency reported that Lyashenko committed suicide.

Daily News - Lyashenko's death is only the latest tragedy to have struck Russian hockey this year.

NY Post - "We should get the information from the authorities within the next 48 hours," the grief-stricken, New Jersey-based Diamond, a close friend of Lyashenko's, said. "This is terribly unfortunate. Roman was a tremendous person. It's a great loss."

NY Times - Lyashenko, a native of Russia, was found hanging by his belt from the ceiling of his room, Turkey's state-run Anatolian news agency reported.

Fact or Fiction discusses Cujo and the possiblility of this rumor being true or not.

More later ----}-
