You all know about Hasek coming back and the trouble it's causing the Wings with Cujo. You also know about how Colorado nabbed the two former Ducks to line 'em up for a run for the cup. Now the rumors become strong about another comeback. No, not Messier....Patrick Roy. I had thought of it myself just a few seconds after hearing about the Kariya and Selanne signings. Hey, it makes sense, no ?
Put your self in Roy's skates for a second. Every one is planing for the stoppage of 2004. Why not collect a few more bucks while taking one last shot at a Cup ? His retirement can wait one more season. With Dominik back in the fold, a heated series with the Wings would be a lot of fun for Roy who would love the battle. Face it, the Avs can't be happy with their goaltending just yet. Getting Roy back would help cement what looks to be a certain run for a Cup. I won't be surprised if this happens.
Jess Rubenstein writes over at Outsidethegarden.com. He's got a new article up, while it doesn't say much....not much has happened to write about in Ranger land. And I'm just as guilty of writing much about nothing at all. But you all knew that. ;-) I am a bit confused by his hatred for Slats. And, I don't agree with his statement that "most knowledgeable Ranger fans already knew he was going to be the coach".
