Sorry for the delay in today's posting......and the lack of full updates recently. It's the slow season anyhow, but I hate to disappoint you guys who now arrive in numbers much greater than ever before. We really enjoy that so many of you goof off at work and read Hockeybird....it puts a smile on our collective faces.
Now, we have a little issue to discuss. You should all know that the writers at Hockeybird have FULL control over their own sections. There are not any restrictions on subject matter, content and I do not edit the articles at all. While this may surprise some of you....it shouldn't. I trust our writers as I know them from either years of e-mail contact or phone conversations. I have met some of our writers in person.....in a word, they have the freedom to create as they see fit.
I bring this up as a recent article poked a little fun at another website and the reaction to that was....well, kinda strange. Fact or Fiction writer Gabe has decided to use his column to further explore this issue. Let it be know that I fully endorse this article, and all others on the site by all the writers. The opinions and content belong to the writers themselves.....I just provide the outlet and I do so without any censorship. That may be why some of our stuff is so much fun to read.......and may I remind you that fun is an important element of what goes on around here.
So, lighten up Frances. Let's not take ourselves so seriously.

I am sure that drugs play a part in the NHL on some level. I'm not just talking about the weed or other substances like it. Steroids are the subject of this story on Slam.
