Bob Hope has died at the age of 100. One of the few things that my grandfather would ever talk about regarding his experiences in the Pacific theatre was the time that he got to see Bob perform.

Not sure what nest you've been sleeping in, but Uncle Larry has been saying mess should go since the end of last year. he has written several articles about it, including ones saying he has lost his leadership voice in the locker room. Say what you want about Brooks, but he works his ass off at getting info and he calls it like it is. Everyone else treats slats with baby gloves and Brooks rips him. I for one may be his biggest fan

My skills were just fine on June 15 of this year, when Brooks pinned Mess as an obstacle to the rangers ever getting better. He has also refenced it at least two other times over the past 3 months.

2. I guess my choice of words was poor. When I said "now," I was venting frustration at the fact that Brooks waited until it was clear to even the suits in the lower bowl that Mess shouldn't be there. Of course, I don't really blame him - he and other beat writers have got to work with the players and team officials. Piss off the team, and I would imagine that sources will clam up, making the writer's job more difficult. In the end, I just hope that the rising chorus prevents Messier's return. Thanks for everything Mark, but it's time to hang 'em up.
