ChickenBird
Saturday - August 02, 2003

Yesterday I spent way too much time trying to sort out the issues with the two RFC writers. I'm happy to report that Jess Rubenstein and I had a nice discussion and everything is now cool between us. Jess admitted that he was coming here and posting under assumed names to make it look like the RFC writers had tons of support.

Unfortunately, Dubi Silverstein (aka John) did the same thing, meaning that all the so called support came from just those two. Dubi will not admit to what he did and continues to throw insults around.....he's called me a coward and a chicken. Ooh, I'm crushed. Oh well, now the world knows exactly who he is. How sad.

Jim Schoenfeld is featured in today's CTNow - One of the most infamous scenes in NHL playoff history had Schoenfeld, then coach of the New Jersey Devils, chiding referee Don Koharski in the hallway after a loss. "Have another doughnut, you fat pig," Schoenfeld bellowed at Koharski.

I can't read that quote enough times.

CuJo waived ? ESPN reports on a Detroit Free Press report that the Wings GM is thinking about it. I have heard that the Wings GM, Ken Holland has considered trying a light beer once in a while.

The Sens show some class by paying tribute to Roger.

Rocha seeks Twins.

In another sad story.....our own Pete Rocha has been posing as someone else and posting on the Olsen Twins website. Reports indicate that Rocha's repeated attempts to contact them have not gone un-noticed. The Twins publicist used the term "uncomfortable" when asked about the Twins reaction.

This disturbing piece of news explains why he hasn't produced an article in quite some time. "I can't help myself", Rocha told me, "they are twins....and frikkin cute...I must have them".

The Olsen Twins themselves could not be reached for comment.

That's hilarious, someone known to the world only as "Bird", who has therefore posted anonymously under that moniker under my articles on RFC for years, making a big deal about the possibility of someone else doing the same to him. Oh, the humanity!

I have a spotless record of posting and writing under my own name, my full name. You have an unbroken record of posting and writing under a pseudonym.

Fine, go ahead and have your fun, keep up your daily attacks on me to try to generate traffic on your site -- I'm going back to RFC, where we attend to Ranger business and do not engage in relentless attacks on competitors.

There is a huge difference between the two activities Dubi. I am always Bird, and people know where to get in touch with me.

You on the otherhand tried to bolster your case (a weak one I might add) by posing as someone else in a lame attempt to fool the public.

Bye.

Funny...but painfully true.

Which is why I'm going to drop the whole thing.

yowch....I feel like such a girlie man.

You are all missing the point here. Hockeybird during this dull summer is all about Rocha and the Twins and FUN. Double entendre jokes, Stanley Pie, Weebl, Rodents, cheese and Melvin to name a few things.

I'd tried to point this out earlier but was told I was being insulting and meanspirited by taking a shot at RFC in what I felt was a joking manner.

Lighten up or Sister Mary will be back with a shiny new paddle for spankings.

Thank you
