This has been a strange summer indeed. Like most of you, I eagerly wait for camp to open, temps to drop and the return to sanity on many hockey message boards on the web. I have watched in utter amazement several situations spiral out of control. We've even had a few silly issues on our own boards.
The many virii floating around have no doubt given most of you some trouble and add to that the sadness of the passing of players, coaches and friends of this site.....and I can't say goodbye to August quick enough.
But alas......there is light at the end of the tunnel. I sure hope it's not the oncoming train.
The Rodent gets double pay for his look at the Cujo issue.
Most of you know about Kaspar and his knee.....reports say he'll be fine. I sure hope so. BTW: Anybody else notice the new format over at the Post ? I like the big pictures.
The Times covers hockey and race. I've always enjoyed the fact that racial issues have not been a big deal in the NHL....but I'd be stupid to suggest that these issues don't exist. And, being white....it's easy to say that race is not a big deal, nobody ever taunted me while playing.
Slam chats about the CuJo thingee. I was wondering out loud to Rocha that it would be possible that Cujo and his agent decided not to enforce the no-trade as it would not be received well by the public and this surgery was his way of saying FU to the wings.....I guess anything is possible.
