Because there are some Richter stories.....

Newsday - He still managed to be the No. 1 goaltender in Salt Lake City for the 2002 Olympics, and played some of his best hockey in recent years under the late Herb Brooks, losing the gold-medal game to Canada.

Daily News - It was a career played out entirely in red, white and blue — either the Rangers' colors or that of various U.S. teams.

NY Post (Larry is back) - Richter retires as the winningest goaltender in franchise history.
