Camptown Ladies Sing This Song
Sunday - September 14, 2003
Doo Da. Doo Da. Camptown Ladies sing this song..... Oh dooda day. We have camp news.....before we get to the locals, read this thread on the boards for Rightbugs Vermont update. Newsday - Dunham's 2.29 GAA and .924 save percentage in 43 games was better than any season high Richter produced during his stellar career. If Dunham had arrived a month earlier while Dan Blackburn tried to hold down the fort over 18 straight games, the postseason might not have eluded the Rangers for a sixth consecutive season. "We really got something going there; we just ran out of time," Dunham said. Daily News - Over the first two days of training camp this week at the University of Vermont, Hlavac and Kovalev have flanked Petr Nedved on a line that has an instant chemistry. It's a line that all three European forwards hope will stay together for a long time. NY Post - "I'm here to make the team," the 23-year-old, first-year pro, said. "I know the situation at center, but I'm hoping that they'll take the best 12 forwards, and if someone has to switch to the wing, I'm prepared to do that." More Post - There were years when Bure not only was the greatest scoring machine in the league, but the most exciting player in the game. When he first came to the Rangers, there was electricity every time he stepped on the ice. His loss is our loss. NY Times - Despite the Rangers' lack of success with a highly paid, veteran-laded lineup, the team's forwards are essentially set, barring serious injury. More later as warranted. ----}- Bird Posted by Bird at September 14, 2003 10:19 AMeMail this entry! Comments
Good to know that overpaid , worthless old man is going to rob Moore or Lundmark out of a job. What a joke. Slats can put mess on 4th line all day long, we all know come crunch time its Me$$ on the PP, Me$$ on the PK, and Me$$ on the ice down a goal late taking faceoffs he can no longer consistenly win. If he is under 17 minutes anight I would be in utter shock. This team is has no shot with him on that long every night, and there is no shot of him playing less until he gets hurt. Let's all say a collective prayer that happens in camp, and at the very least early on in the game 1. Posted by: Dmil on September 14, 2003 07:14 PMNot true Dmil, Messier's new role appears to be deciding who is worthy of wearing a Ranger uniform and who is not. As for Lundmark and Moore they appear to be going against each other for a roster spot. After all Renney says you have to be special to beat out what they already appear to have decided the roster will be Posted by: Jess on September 14, 2003 11:16 PMPost a comment
