Concert for Bangladesh
Wednesday - September 17, 2003

It's a very rare occurance that the locals aren't writing the same story, so welcome to the freak-out hippy love jam as the four major NY dailies have different stories and explore each others bodies with lavender scented oils while Ravi Shankar plays in the background.

Uncle "not a dick" Larry gives you 'play the rookies' windbags a heads
up for your March complaining; Why isn't Juris Stals in the lineup? He should be in there, like, now. DOLAN AND HIS CORPORATE, OFFENSE-FIRST, TIN CAN EATING McDONALD-O-BOTS ARE THE REASON WHY!

Write that down.

John Dellapina punches the clock with his usual clock-punchingeffort, this one about Mike Dunham. Maybe it's editorial controlthat dictates how a writer goes about his column, and in this case it actually makes sense. If there were a professional, literate sports editor at the Daily News, Mike Lupica wouldn'thave had 95% of his syrupy, cliched columns pass through.

Just so you you don't think I'm being pointlessly negative; Jerry Izenberg
has long been my favorite NYC-area sports writer.

If you watched Blueshirts Inside/Out pt. 2 on MSG tonight, you might've
noticed Jason Diamos as the thin, well dressed, shaven head fellow. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm just sayin'.

I love Richard Scotts' attitude in this Newsday article "I don't care if it's the 13th forward, the 12th or the 14th and a half," said Scott, who made his mark in the intrasquad game by hacking Mike Dunham and drawing the placid goaltender's ire. "A spot's a spot. You work hard, play better than the other guys - that's what it's all about, beating people out for a position

NJ and Westchester papers and the internet later on today...
