I've been waiting for close to two hours for the Post's sports page to hit the web, but it's very late today and stubbornly won't show up. I'd rather to go to bed now instead of sitting here like a moron at quarter-to-four in the morning, hitting the refresh button on the NY Post's website every 30 seconds. Thanks.

As such, I don't have much news for you right now, at least not from the locals.

The NY Times has an article about the Rangers' hot power play in exhibition, and how it's linked to their success over the years. However, there's really no clear point made. Some seasons they've had a good power play and made the playoffs, some seasons they missed the playoffs with a good power play. Uh, great. Thanks for that. Check out the blurb at the bottom of the article for positive news concerning Brian Leetch and his ankle. "I think I'm ahead of the last time, for sure," said Leetch.

The Star-Ledger also has a Leetch injury update, as well as more line shuffling to report. While the Hlavac/Nedved/Kovalev line is still together, everything else seems to have been switched around. While I'd prefer Sather & staff to pick four lines and keep them together until they get used to each other or they die trying, there are still a whopping six pre-season games left. Enough time to still tinker with lines, if they must.

Chris Stevenson of the Ottawa Sun writes an article for ESPN.com about the five truths and lies of training camp. Sounds like it might be very interesting, no? No. It's pretty much a bore, but I'm out of news here. Sorry. And just when you might think a national hockey columnist could get through an entire article without taking a shot at the Rangers, Stevenson slips one in at the very end. Oh, you hockey columnists are so witty with your constant Ranger barbs! Ha. Ha. Ho.

The Post still hasn't updated their sports page. Good night! I'll be back with more later in the day.

Late update: I decided to take the refresh button for one last spin on the Post's sports page before going to bed. It's there! It's there! I win! Anson Carter says, "I'll play with anyone". Oh Anson, you tramp.
