Rocha and I had a conversation yesterday on toes.....not what you'd think. And no, I'm not going to explain it. Anyhow.....not to step on Rightbugs toes but there are a few items I need to inform you peeps about.
ESPN has a new look for this new season. They also have resumed our favorite column by John Buccigross.
If that wasn't enough......for all you fantasy players, ESPN has open the doors to that section.....and it includes our very own Brian Leeds. You can read his latest ESPN column right here at Hockeybird.
I popped over to Rangers Cafe yesterday.....make this one of your daily stops as they do a good job covering the BlueShirts.
My buddy Woody from the Jacksonville Barracudas informed me that his team has cut a deal with our NY Rangers. We'll be sending them a prospect or two. I'm a bit confused by this as the WHA2 are the minor league for the soon to be rival of the NHL, WHA. Hmmmm, what's that about ? For those who don't know, Former Ranger Ron Duguay is the head coach of the Jacksonville team.
The Pens kid goalie has rejected the latest offer from the team....apparently, free steak dinners at Froggy's wasn't that much of an attractive item to Fleury. That and he's too young to drink.....and that's what you do at Froggy's !
Former Ranger Radek Dvorak is back in North America after going home to the Czech Republic as his son Adam was born prematurely. All is well and we wish Radek and his family all the best.
