It's a wild shootout with teams taking and losing players all over the place. I'll attempt to get all the important stuff posted tomorrow, once the smoke clears.
This much we know....Petro has been taken by Atlanta. St. Louis took Jeff Heerema from us.....I don't think he was here long enough for the equipment guy to sew him a jersey. Oh well, Slats rolled the dice and crapped out on that one....no biggie.
And the Rangers claimed these guys:
New York Rangers take Joel Bouchard from Pittsburgh
New York Rangers take Sheldon Keefe from Tampa Bay
New York Rangers take Mike Siklenka from Philadelphia
I asked my Dad who follows the Tampa club about Keefe and he claims that the smallish guy scored in the OHL but hasn't really had a shot in the NHL. Translation.....he's a decent addition for the Pack as he couldn't make the Tampa club.
The boards are filled with posters who are tracking and commenting on the waiver draft so you may want to check it out for all the latest up to date stuff as it happens.
This TSN article on Travis Green being picked up has some info on transactions at the bottom of the page. Travis has since been traded to the Bruins.
Slam has this on Messier and the Rangers.
With no TV on tonight's game there will be no card....and I'm not sure I can do more than post the score and box after it's over.
