Noooooooooo !
Saturday - October 11, 2003
That was the last point of the night that I smiled. To be fair, I was thinking on how if they won I'd have to warn all of you that one win doesn't mean we are winning a cup. So, last night's loss doesn't mean we're not making the playoffs. It does mean that the two points on the table are now gone forever. That needs to be the focus......tonight, two more points are up for grabs.....who wants 'em ! Newsday - The Rangers outshot the Wild 28-19 (including 10-1 in the final period), but they were scoreless on eight power-play chances. Daily News - Jussi Markkanen will make his Rangers debut in net tonight at Columbus. NY Post - "I have a self-imposed policy not to speak about anyone other than myself," Holik said. "I just think it's better that way." NY Times - "We just seemed to go brain dead for a few minutes and it cost us the hockey game," said Coach Glen Sather, who ripped into his team afterward. "We have an experienced team. You don't expect them to fall apart like that." Journal News - Defenseman Brian Leetch (bruised left ankle) skated again Thursday but it still remains questionable whether he'll play this month. He said he would need about five practices once he started skating with the team to be ready to play, but there's no timetable for him being able to practice. The Pens kid goalie was great in his debut. He still lost though. Dan Snyder was laid to rest with family and friends present. Don't forget to check out John Buccigross at ESPN. We'll be back for the game tonight......and calm down, a win tonight makes it all better. ----}- Bird Posted by Bird at October 11, 2003 09:22 AMeMail this entry! Comments
