I Sense A Theme
Wednesday - October 22, 2003
As you'd expect, all the locals are reporting on Lindros' injury today, and the options the Rangers are considering for his replacement during his estimated two to four week absence: Times Let's see what's going on elsewhere in the league... Roman Cechmanek and his LA Kings shut out his old team, the Flyers, by a score of 4-0 last night. Even better, Bobby Clarke was there to see his old goalie allow zero while his new one gave up four. Of course, Clarke can't help but take a few shots at Roman after the game, as you'll read in this article on TSN. Ahh. Any time Darth Bobby is put off by something and is whining to the press, I can't help but feel my day has been brightened to some degree. The Bruins just finished a six-game road trip with a remarkable 4-1-1 record by jumping up and down on the Avalanche last night by a score of 4-1. The Bruins?! I thought they were supposed to suck this season. Then again, they usually seem to start off hot every year only to fade late. After starting off the season with five straight losses, the Ducks finally won one. Honk. By the way, the combined record of last season's four Conference Finals teams so far? 6-11-3-2 John Buccigross offers his top-10 reasons why goal scoring is down this season (yet again!). Of course, it wouldn't be a Buccigross article without a section on Ray Bourque, Cam Neely or Ray Ferarro, this time Ray Bourque (yet again, again!). We learn that Ray's typical day sees him playing golf and taking his son to and from school. Okay Buccigross, I think it's time to leave Ray Bourque alone already. - Rocha Posted by pete at October 22, 2003 06:11 AMeMail this entry! Comments
