Road Rage
Saturday - November 01, 2003
I would like to begin today's post by thanking all of you who take time out of your busy work day and visit us here at Hockeybird. October recorded the highest stats in Hockeybird history.....I am humbled by the fact that so many of you make us part of your internet lives. Tonight the Ranger hit the road and visit Les Habs in Montreal. October is gone and November is filled with plenty of games.....we should get a much better feel for the state of this team over the next 30 days. The Birdcage looks at what we have seen so far and declares, "Not enough data". Fact or Fiction talks about Chris Simon and how he should just keep on doing what he's been doing. Newsday - Brian Leetch and Eric Lindros skated with a handful of teammates Friday, but neither is expected back for the weekend games. Daily News - Having reached the same point of recovery at which he returned to the lineup last season, D Brian Leetch will make his 2003-04 debut tonight at Montreal unless he suffers a setback during the morning skate. NY Post - And if for some reason Leetch can't or doesn't play in this one, barring the most extreme circumstances, he'll make his 2003-04 debut tomorrow night at the Garden against the Avalanche. Star-Ledger - Coach Glen Sather has talked to the league about getting a game misconduct to Chris Simon rescinded, but there was no immediate word on whether the request will be honored. Journal News - Center Mark Messier missed yesterday's practice with a stiff neck. Sather said it has bothered him since last season and he could miss tonight's game. So.....Mess may be out, Leetch could play tonight or Sunday or not at all and Lindros is still out. Fans of Dominic Moore should get to see him play tonight. The Wolf*Pack continue their successful season so far.....which means Heather has handed out some easy homework to her students. One young man suggested that if the Pack keep winning he may actually pass the class. Former Ranger Bryan Berard is now with the Hawks. Gaborik is now signed with the Wild. THIS DATE IN RANGERS HISTORY: See ya tonight ! ----}- Bird Posted by Bird at November 01, 2003 09:16 AMeMail this entry! Comments
