Devils Den
Saturday - November 15, 2003
During the battle of Gettysburg there were many different places that offered the hells of war. Devils Den was just one of them. I went there once and remember crawling through those rocks, imagining the terror that must have overcome each soldier. Just thought I'd mention that. Not much of a war in the swamps today. The Devs looked like the champs and the Rangers didn't even look like a first round disappointment. This game was so bad I'm not even going to link to the box. Instead, how about an imaginary conversation between our own Brian Leeds and Bobby Holik ?
Bobby Holik: Um, Brian....we lost. We should stay at home and hang our heads in shame. Leedsy: C'mon Bobby.....it wasn't your fault. The rest of the guys didn't work hard. Forget about it....let's get some beers. Bobby Holik: Well Brian, maybe you are right. One beer won't hurt, right ? Leedsy: That's the spirit Bobby, you're buying this time. Say, how about that place Scores.....I hear it's great. Bobby Holik: One Beer. Leedsy: OK, OK.....we'll start with one........ ----}- Bird Posted by Bird at November 15, 2003 03:41 PMeMail this entry! Comments
Funny. Very funny. Posted by: Brian on November 15, 2003 08:48 PMFunny. Very funny. Posted by: Brian on November 15, 2003 08:48 PMFunny. Very funny. Posted by: Rocha on November 16, 2003 05:48 AMWHA2 Miami Manatees won 5-2 last night and are 3-0. Attendance was good teh 1st night, poor the 2nd and ok the 3rd. Threats of riots in downtown miami over the trade agreements hurt attendance numbers the last 2 nights. I am doing the official stats for the miami games and will be jumping into a new job as color commentator shortly. The dozens and dozens of fans listening to the webcast will be excited. They do ahve some pretty good players out there and the brand of hockey is pretty good. They have no 2 line pass and tag up offsides. Also the absence of TV time outs is very noticable and the games move quickly. -JD Posted by: JD on November 16, 2003 08:39 AMPost a comment
