Nice Touque, Eh !

Jose Keeps warm

Now THAT's hockey. Every kid that grew up dreaming about playing in the NHL and spent long hours playing outside got to see old pros and then current pros do just what they do. That's very cool.

The Rodent has words on the great outdoors and hockey. He then rambles endlessly on all the chicks he wanted to boink but never got the chance. (OK, that's not true but that would be a good article, eh ?)

The Rangers are home to take on the Sens at 5pm. Eric Lindros is expected back as are the captain and coach who took part in yesterday's celebration of hockey in Edmonton. Let's look at the locals....

Daily News - "That's the way we grew up playing hockey," Messier said following the game. "I think that's what the whole weekend was supposed to be. It's supposed be getting back to the grass roots of hockey. It's something we shouldn't forget even though we are at this level."

Here's Jay Greenburg at the Post.

Larry Brooks has two.....one and two.

NY Times - Gretzky has said it will be the only old-timers' game he will play, but seeing him on skates again may underscore for fans just how long it has been since Edmonton was hockey's capital....

Journal News has two hockey articles.....this one on sticks and this one on the CBA stuff.

The Star-Ledger talks about Mike Dunham.

Sorry for the lateness and shortness of today's post.....I have kids ya know. We'll be back for some post game coverage after the Sens game. Don't expect a card as the Jets have a home game and Rocha must have about 8 beers in him already....and the game doesn't start until 1pm.

Why not pop onto the boards and see how wacky we are.
