I'm sure you are aware that the Pens roster is filled with kids and castoffs. Hell, the coach.....Eddie O was never going to be hired by any other NHL team as a head coach. But the two points count in the standings so I'll take 'em.
Seven out of eight points over the last four games.....that's a bit more like it. We'll need these points......and a whole bunch more. Things could get very interesting around here if we continue to see results like this. I may even allow myself to smile. I did last night.....oh wait, that was after the game and not connected to hockey, nevermind.

Newsday has a game recap and the words "four game unbeaten streak".
The Daily News has this variation - "Rangers' unbeaten streak to 3-0-1-0".
The NY Times talks about Kovalev....but then there is this sentence, "The Rangers are unbeaten in their last four games (3-0-1)."
Star-Ledger - "the Rangers' unbeaten streak to 3-0-1 over four games".
The Journal News - "the Rangers (9-7-5-2) extended their unbeaten streak to four games."
If nothing else Larry Brooks is at least different than the other writers more often than not. His article today talks about something I had been thinking about, the goaltending of Jussi the Fin. With Dunham outright stealing points earlier this season I'm not going to ask that he step aside....but the new daddy has played lights out, no ?
The Pens kid goaler turned 19 years old last night. Mark Messier has been in the NHL longer than this kid has been alive. Do you think the kid will be pissed when after waiting two more years, he finds out that IC light tastes like crap ?

Former Ranger Marc Savard got a one game suspention for biting. This just adds to the rumors that he was beaten up by girls a lot when growing up.
