Rangers-Pens At 1pm
Saturday - January 03, 2004

I'm still getting settled in back at home here in NY.....if you wish to call what I'm doing settled. The Rangers play the Pens in Pittsburgh at 1pm today so I'll be back with all the news after the game.

Here's the Rodent to keep you fed until later.

I trust all of you had a great holiday. Let's hope the Rangers did too and that they finish off this road trip with a win. If they can't come away from this game with two points then the boards will be filled with angry fans. If they win then it's a good trip with six out of eight points.....and they keep us hoping for a playoff birth.

Since I missed the last three games I have no feel on today except I wouldn't be surprised to see them take the Ice Chickens lightly.....which would be a bad mistake. I don't expect to see Purinton play after his penalty filled outing in St. Louis.

TODAY IN RANGERS HISTORY:
January 3, 1973 - Ed Giacomin becomes the Rangers' all-time shutout leader, his 41st, in a 3-0 win over Los Angeles at MSG.

Heather has been reporting a major slide in the Pack....she is no longer happy and smiling. I expect an angry rant from her in On The farm sometime soon.
