You Know You Are Old When.....
Sunday - January 04, 2004

You know you are old when you show up for an open hockey and two kids there are the sons of a guy you used to play against. Many thanks to the guys for letting me play and not making me look too bad. I had forgotten just how much I love playing this game. Too bad I'm no good anymore.

So.....you found Heather's good mood not as much fun ? Have no fear, as the Pack plays poorly Heather regains that old On The Farm bite you came to know and love.

Let's take a look at the locals (something we have missed out on lately)

Newsday shows us that Sather wasn't happy about yesterday's win.....good. And this quote is one of the reasons I love this game, Darius Kasparaitis returned after missing two games with a pulled rib-cage muscle and blocked a shot with his left hand in the first. "I would have left the game, but Bouch was already gone," he said. He's a hockey player.

The Daily News has a few articles today....here on Jussi, here on Lindros , and here....Sherry Ross mumbles something about the Refs not being biased.

Larry Brooks reminds us how lucky the Rangers were to win. His slap shots column has a shot at the Devils from Igor, working for the Devils is "worse than the Red Army."

The Times says the same things that everyone else did about yesterday's game but cleverly used the words in a different order......those Times guys sure are a sneaky bunch.

Here's the Star-Ledger. And here's the Journal News.

If you watched yesterday's MSG telecast then you already know that the US will face Canada in the world junior championships on Monday afternoon. Congrats to both teams.

Hmmm...I think Sherry Ross is confusing ESPN/ABC (whom I agree would love to see the Rangers in the Finals) with Bettman who I think would like to keep the Eastern Conference out of it entirely if he could and have a Detroit/Colorado Final every year.

Maybe the NHL Marketing department would like to see the Rangers in the Finals. But not Bettman.
