Payback on Sens or Another Black Eye ?
Monday - February 16, 2004
Today at 1pm the Rangers face the Sens. Like a moth attracted to a flame I'll be tuned in for some unknown reason. Newsday on the kid (from yesterday) - "I was dreaming to play at this level," said the 20-year-old defenseman, who was a minus-1 in 13:22 of ice time. "I'm not so happy about the finish, but I got a big experience today for myself." Dave Curtis at the NY Post has this - "We were embarrassed up there," winger Matthew Barnaby said. "We don't need any special reason to play, because we need two points. But there's a little extra motivation. We played horribly up there." Star-Ledger - Jaromir Jagr (groin) is doubtful for the game. Forward(s) Cory Larose and Chad Wiseman were recalled from Hartford and Jason MacDonald were sent down. Journal News - "People will probably ask us: Did the team quit, or is the team going to quit?" Bobby Holik said. "I'll say it right now: Don't ask me that question. I know for myself and for the other guys, we're not going to quit. Whether you're in it or not, winning a game is still what you're playing for. I don't think we're doing our math every day seeing where we are because we know we are in a bad position." See ya after the game......and I hope we put a old fashioned beating on these guys....just for kicks. ----}- Bird Posted by Bird at February 16, 2004 09:47 AMeMail this entry! Comments
