Brian Leeds Rules
Thursday - March 11, 2004
Our own Brian Leeds will be featured on an internet radio broadcast today. Well, he's not ours......really, he just lends himself to us as we don't censor his potty mouth. Anyhow, tune in today at 6pm (he'll be on closer to 6:30pm) and check it out. I believe you can even call in and ask questions like, "So, what's the deal with Pavel Bure?" or "Is Petr Nedved still the Anti-Christ now that he's in Edmonton?". The name of the show is Thrashers Fan Faceoff. The Birdcage does the interview thing with Scott Ferrall. Good stuff. The Rodent goes off on an ESPN guy....and rightly so. Our own Rightbug gives us a look at some of the new Rangers. Journal News - Sandy McCarthy walked into the Rangers' team meeting prior to Tuesday's 2-0 win at Atlanta and loudly said, "Hiya, boys," amid a fair amount of giggles. NY Post - Glen Sather would like to bring the 21-year-old centerman out of Ohio State into Hartford under an AHL tryout agreement before entering meaningful negotiations with Brian Lawton, who represents Umberger Newsday has no new Ranger article....but they do cover the Bertuzzi suspention, as is every media outlet from here to Tibet. The only time the NHL gets this kind of attention is when something bad happens. I will say this, Todd deserves a severe punishment by the NHL and he's getting one. But law enforcement shouldn't be involved in this. The sad part of this is, had there not been a serious injury, we wouldn't even be talking about it. Our thoughts go out to Steve Moore and his family. Ah geeze.....here it comes. The Bertuzzi incident allows clowns to come out of the woodwork and write columns like this, "Hockey is a complete joke". Hey Ian.....bite me. Lace up some skates and come on the ice with me....then we'll talk about jokes. Journal News again - I have three kids," Brodeur said after yesterday's practice at South Mountain Arena. "(Television networks) keep on playing it. It's not a good image for hockey." This Slam column deals with the issue without the hyperbole. I'll add this TSN piece so you can read the article and the fans comments. More later....I'm sure. Oh...Rocha was given the day off as he was up practicing for the upcoming Alcohol Olympics. He will be competing in both marathon and sprinting competitions and training is going well. ----}- Bird Posted by Bird at March 11, 2004 09:53 AMeMail this entry! Comments
"Hey Ian.....bite me. Lace up some skates and come on the ice with me....then we'll talk about jokes." quote of the year bird! Posted by: shawn on March 11, 2004 03:00 PMI think Ian O'Conner should focus more on getting a decent haircut rather than bashing the NHL. He is rocking the 50s do.
