Another Saturday afternoon game vs. The Flyers on ABC. Yea.
As we count down the last few games it appears that Mark Messier will in fact retire. That makes Wednesday's game vs. Buffalo his last at MSG. I'll be there and hope that some of you will stop by section 231 to say hello....or yell at me for something I've said. That includes you Dubi. Either way, I'm looking forward to that. Daria, a longtime reader gave me these seats and I'm so very grateful.
Larry Brooks points out some facts on the expected starter in net for the Rangers, Stephen Valiquette. He's undefeated in his two NHL starts. Will today be number three ?

Strangely enough I actually have tickets to the Rangers-Caps game on April 3rd, despite being a Devils fan. I promised to take my brother, who has never been to an NHL game, to one. He lives in DC and there were no Caps-NJ games on weekends so we picked this one when I thought both teams would be better. So I may actually see Messier's last pro game if he indeed decides to retire. Even though as a Devs fan I am obligated to dislike Jurassic Mark, I am still a hockey fan and he was truly great once. If this is his last game it will be an honor to see him take his last shift on the ice.
