Rangers 3 - Flyers 1
Saturday - March 27, 2004

The New York Rangers played very well today...hitting, a good PK, decent defense and outstanding goaltending by the new guy.

Goal #1 by Jagr was something to behold....he really is a great player. Green and Holik added second period goals and despite the 39 shots against, Stephen Valiquette was up to all of them but one. Here's the box. It's been a while (if ever) that I watched a butterfly goalie in a Rangers sweater.....and I think I like it. Unlike Dunham and Lababera who tend to play a 'whatever" style, Valiquette has a clearly definable style and seems skilled at it.

I'm still impressed with Fedor....and I'm really liking this Pöck kid. I realize the two points make it tougher for the Rangers to get the first pick overall....so maybe we should boo them for winning.
