"....And This One Will Last A Lifetime"
Monday - June 07, 2004

No Rangers fan will EVER forget game seven vs. Vancouver in 1994. MSG was wild that night as was much of the city and surrounding suburbs. The foolishness that had been displayed in game five was replaced with a more realistic nervousness. It could have gone either way......a post here a bounce there. It was almost painful for me to watch, the possibility of 1940 to be extended was almost to much too endure.

Of course you know how it turned out, right ?

The joy of that night has still not faded. I can still see some of the images of that night in my mind. If I try, I can still feel that combination of exhaustion and joy. It was hockey heaven. Tonight, fans of the Flames and Bolts will go through a similar experience.....and I'll be there to witness it.

Slam - "I think it's a good fit the way both teams have played to have it come down to a Game 7."

Calgary Sun - Home ice? Irrelevant. Pressure? Equal for both teams. It's a Game 7 for the Stanley Cup, something every Canadian on the Calgary Flames and Tampa Bay Lightning has fantasized about thousands of times. They've all scored Stanley Cup Game 7 winners. Lots of times.

Tampa Tribune - Lightning coach John Tortorella is convinced, however, that Lecavalier will have a breakout game tonight in Game 7.

This is going to be so cool.......

It works both ways. There is absolutely nothing worse than losing that 7th game. "Ping!" and LaFayette's shot hits the post. "Ping!"

I can still hear it.
