Bertuzzi Charged
Thursday - June 24, 2004

It has now become a criminal court case. While I think what Todd did was stupid, dumb....and that it has no place in the game, neither does law enforcement. That's just my opinion.

Links:

Sportsnet.ca - Vancouver Canucks star Todd Bertuzzi was charged Thursday with assault causing bodily harm for his on-ice attack on Colorado Avalanche player Steve Moore that left Moore with neck injuries.

TSN - There is precedent for a hockey player facing charges for his on-ice action. Most recently Marty McSorely, then with the Boston Bruins, was charged with assault after bashing then-Canuck Donald Brashear with a stick to the head in February 2000.

Same stuff all over.

As Rocha mentioned, the upcoming draft will at least get me interested in Ranger stuff again. NYR.com will cover this weekends activity and here are some thoughts from Digger Donny Maloney. "I would say it’s an average group, per say, however I do think there are 40 to 50 players in this Draft who are going to be good players."
