In For 'Bug
Tuesday - July 13, 2004

Rightbug is on a well deserved vacation and claims he'll be miles from any computers. I bet he gets a newspaper though. I'm wondering what his reaction will be to find out the retired director of Refs in the NHL was borrowing cash from some refs......and may have been doing favors in return.

Andy gets two minutes for conduct unbecoming a referee, five minutes for influence peddling and a game misconduct for getting caught. I mean, exactly how many guys did he borrow cash from to make this an issue? What did he need the cash for and why didn't he just use his own money? One could assume there is more to this story, eh?

Here's some more info on the Danton case.

For those following who signs who you can read this to keep up to date. I love this line from an agent, "There's been deep interest in him," Theofanous said. "I've had lots of calls." As if he'd say, "I'm just sitting here and the phone doesn't ring....no one is calling at all".

The Rodent brings word that Jagr's groin is not so bad. There's a groin joke here but I ask that you write your own, please.

Don Maloney Interview over at ESPN. Discuss on the boards here.

Last but not least there is a rumor that US Vice President Dick Cheney was overheard telling Gary Bettman to go "F" himself while the Kerry-Edwards ticket has aligned itself with the NHLPA trying to gain that all elusive Canadian vote. When told that Canadians are not allowed to vote in the upcoming elections Kerry responded, "That's just another outrageous attempt by the Bush administration to steal this election".

Bird,

Instead of wasting our time pushing for a constitutional amendment to ban "Same Sex Marriages", Bush and Cheney should be formulating plans for the forceful invasion and annexation of Canada.

That would solve all of the NHL's problems and maybe elevate hockey to the 10th most favorite sport in "Ameri-Can" behind Curling.

You could be named the new "head of on-ice Officiating" to replace Von Hellmond.
