RANGERS 2004 PRE-SEASON SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED
Tuesday - July 13, 2004
Reprinted from the NYR site: New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced the Rangers 2004 pre-season schedule today, featuring three games at Madison Square Garden and a total of nine games in 18 days. All Rangers pre-season home games will feature 7:00 PM start times. The Rangers kick off their exhibition schedule with three home-and-home series versus old-time rivals the New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils and Boston Bruins, respectively. The team will open the pre-season at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, September 23 against the Islanders. The two clubs will meet again on Sunday, September 26 at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The Rangers and Devils will begin their two-game set on Tuesday, September 28 at the Continental Airlines Arena, before wrapping it up at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, September 30. Finally, the Rangers conclude the trio of home-and-home matches with a pair against the Bruins, beginning on Saturday, October 2 at the FleetCenter in Boston. In their final home game of the exhibition calendar, the Rangers will host the Bruins on Tuesday, October 5. New York will culminate the 2004 pre-season with three consecutive road contests, beginning Wednesday, October 6 against the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Nationwide Arena. The Rangers will also face the Minnesota Wild at the Xcel Energy Center on Friday, October 8, prior to wrapping up the exhibition schedule on Sunday, October 10 versus the Detroit Red Wings at the Joe Louis Arena. Additional details here. I'm happy to see the Isles back on the pre-season schedule. Of course, there may not be a season to pre......but it's still something to kinda look forward to. Neither Dick Cheney nor John Kerry could be reached for comment. One of our message board readers (leetch3) found this on Montoya. Sounds to me like he's going to sign. ----}- Bird Posted by Bird at July 13, 2004 07:29 PMeMail this entry! Comments
