Quick, name the Ranger with the longest tenure on the current roster. Okay, I gave you the answer. The Rangers have agreed to terms with Dale Purinton.

Unfortunately, after a 2002-2003 season where Dale made hugh strides and seemed poised to potentially break out of a straight goon role, Dale seemed to regress a bit last season. Still, Dale's a great guy and it's hard to question his heart. While many were frustrated with his defensive lapses and return to undisciplined penalty taking last season, I'm still not entirely giving up hope that he can become a decent 5th or 6th defenseman if he focuses on defensive fundamentals and discipline. In the meantime, it's nice to have someone on the team who can bring this:

wHY ARE THEY WASTEING THERE TIME SIGNING HIM. tHEY ALREADY HAVE 10 DEFENSEMAN IN THE SYSYTEM BETTER THEN HIM. aND HE CAN NOT GO TO THE MINORS BECAUSE HE WOULD PROBABLY NOT CLEAR WAIVERS.
