LAFONTAINE FINISHES TRIATHLON. Former Islanders and Rangers star Pat LaFontaine completed the Ironman Florida Triathlon in Panama City Beach, Fla., finishing the 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride and 26.2 mile run in 13 hours, 6 minutes, 49 seconds. LaFontaine raised more than $33,000 for his charity, Companions in Courage.
I want to apologize to all of you who come here each day expecting news and links. While it's true that I work 6 days now and don't have much time, frankly the lockout is sucking the fun out of this. At this point I think about closing Hockeybird each day. Because a lot of you asked us to remain open, we will.....but I can't find reason to post updates every day.
