The NHL offered a deal so one sided even our resident pro-owner readers have conceeded that the NHL is not negotiating in good faith. Read it here along with the comments from other Hockeybird readers.

There will be one more meeting tomorrow with both Bettman and Goodenow attending but my feeling is that we are done.

No games, no playoffs, no hockey.

What a shame.

Bird, could you please change the last sentence [What a shame] to read "Such a shame" instead? That's my song reference for you. Being a former WLIRer, you should have no problem guessing the song and band.

I'd rather hear a Different Talk Talk song......

If every sign that I see is complete
Then I'm a fool in your game
And all you want to do is tell me your lies
Won't show the other side you're just wasting my time
All you do to me is talk talk
Talk talk talk talk
All you do to me is talk talk
Talk talk talk talk
All you do to me is talk talk

Oh hell, oh dear, oh DAMN. I hoped and hoped that the league would see reason, but then they pissed all over the NHLPA. I would advise all Hockeybird readers to go to the Free Stanley website, if for no other reason than to get a cool button.
Yours in utter despair (I care about NO other sport),
