Resurrection?
Sunday - March 27, 2005

I can't remember exactly which year it was.....but several years ago I remember waking up on an Easter Sunday and I was sent out early on an errand to the store. The radio reported that there were still tickets left for the Islander Ranger game to be played that afternoon at Nassau. Seeing as I was about 1000 yards away I stopped in and grabbed a pair.

I distinctly remember explaining to my dad that there was no better way to celebrate the resurrection of Christ than a Ranger-Islander game.

Those were the days.

The Wolf*Pack went to OT last night against the baby Isles but lost. "Give Bridgeport credit," McGill said. "They passed the puck four times on their power play and scored. We don't even pass the puck."

Uncle Larry has his Sunday offering posted.

Have you ever thought to yourself, whatever happened to Dunc Wilson? Ok, I wasn't thinking that this morning either.....but in case you were thinking that, here ya go.

By the way....three cheers for HDH as he's doing a great job posting the news here. Yesterday he used the phrase "Screw the owners". Here's reason #714 to hate 'em. TSN has an article on the LA Kings president.

"The fan has become a high priority for us and we can't abuse that trust."

Um....what did he say? Has become? So before we weren't a high priority?

Asshats.

If the NHL decides to try replacement players this coming season it's a sure bet that I won't spend one single dime to see the games live or on TV. However, I think I'll try out as a goaltender for the Florida Panthers. What the hell, right? It'd make for some interesting stories, no?

Here's your daily Rodent reminder.

Spectors Hockey has a rumor that Mario will be a replacement player.....yeah, that's just great.

It's not a rumor....in fact, Billy Idol is indeed alive. I'll be reviewing the new LP in a day or two and before Rocha and Leedsy begin their joke-fest I insist they listen to a song called "Plastic Jesus". I think they will both agree that it's one of the funnier things they've ever heard.

Enjoy your holiday.
