Sweeping The Swamp Devils
Sunday - November 06, 2005
Now that I have power and an internet connection I was all set for a great day of hockey....except there was one problem. I was at work during the game yesterday and of course missed it. Damn.
NY Post - "It's a hockey game, but it's a show; people pay their money to come, I think you should give them something back," said Jagr, who's giving as much back as he knows how. Post again.....where Uncle larry rips the NHL yet again. I'm with you Larry and so are a lot of the people I talk to. Daily News - "Some people picked us for last in the NHL," Jaromir Jagr said afterward, a mischievous grin on his face. "I think they're very wrong." NorthJersey.com - The Rangers appear to have turned the tide on the Devils in their rivalry. Entering this season, they had only beaten them four times since 1997. After losing their first meeting of this season in overtime, the Rangers have won the last three, which definitely frustrates the Devils. Star-Ledger - "He's got so much skill," Jagr said of Prucha. "He doesn't look big, but he doesn't budge, though. (And) he's not afraid. He's not scared. ... He doesn't feel any pressure. That's great." Newsday - As the Garden erupted, Prucha's teammates poured off the bench to mob the youngster, who also scored in the second period to start the Rangers' comeback from a 2-0 deficit. "He might take my job," Jagr joked afterward. I'm sure there are more links.....but I have my hands full today. Did I mention that the Isles were blanked by the Sens 6-0 last night? Um....they were. The Sens are for real this year....could it be their season? Anyhow, I wish to publicly thank all of you who helped us out in the aftermath of Wilma. It was a hell of a thing. Next up, the Pens on OLN tomorrow night. ----}- Bird eMail this entry! |
