Rangers Win in OT-Shootout!
Tuesday - November 22, 2005

I felt that one.

I'm not sure if it was the way this game was mic-ed or if the game was broadcast in extreme high quality.....or the beer I was drinking but I was feeling this game. OK, I did business with a guy from Toronto today who skated with an old teammate of mine and we traded stories. Maybe it was a combination of all of those things but I was feeling this game as if I was playing it. It was very clear to me that the Rangers were the better team, hands down.

If you've played the game you might know what I mean. It's a feeling that transcends the score or what may seem obvious to the viewer. It's a feeling you get on the ice about a game. This one felt like many I had played where it was just known by the players who was in control. While I had predicted more Ranger goals I never felt like this one would get away. That it took a shootout was not what I was thinking, but it's still two points in the bank.

2-2 at the end of Regulation, all three Rangers converted in the shootout after OT. Jagr scored the last and Weekes stopped the last Sabres' shot for the win.

Here's the box.

Beer me. Oh hell yeah!
